Meet Mary

Women identify with Mary, because she has not only survived the road of clinical depression, infertility, adoption, full-time ministry, sexual abuse, childhood trauma, and the daily stress of life, but has learned to thrive and find joy in the midst of life’s greatest storms.

Mary was also the Co-founder of Girlfriends in God, a conference and devotion ministry for women, working with noted author, Sharon Jaynes and award-winning composer, musician, author, and worship leader, Gwen Smith to encourage and equip women for their life journey.

Mary’s books include, Hope in the Midst of Depression, Sandpaper People, Escaping the Stress Trap, Experiencing God’s Power in Your Ministry, Fit for Life, and 10-Day Trust Adventure, You Make Me So Angry, How to Study the Bible, Fit for Life and Joy for the Journey.

One of Mary’s greatest pleasures is serving beside and teaching with her husband, Dan, Pastor at The Local Church in Davie, Florida, Founder of The Movement Group, the author of Transitioning: Leading Your Church Through Change and Chair Time, and mentor to church planters across the country.

Mary relishes her ministry as a wife, a mother to their two children, Jered and Danna, and Mimi to her seven grandchildren – Jaydan, Lelia, Justus, Hudson, Mo, Nori, and Ayla.

Mary’s goal is to leave it all on the playing field of life, skid into heaven with her hair on fire, saying “Wow! What a ride, Lord!”
